ACTIVITIES
FAD works in a variety of ways in order to achieve its mission:
- FAD assists students with college applications.
- FAD volunteers coordinating with
Learning Leaders
tutor students in a variety of subjects.
- Learning Leaders work with students who seek personal attention with academic issues.
- FAD provides chaperones for class trips to museums,
theaters, architectural firms, and other sites in the city.
- FAD funded live models for figure drawing classes, and purchased drafting tables,
cameras and team uniforms.
- FAD has provided funds to brighten the Gallery, cafeteria, lobby and halls with new
materials, paint and lighting.
- FAD provided new furnishings for the Guidance offices,
and Architecture and Art classrooms.
- FAD sponsors professional music concerts in the school and outside venues.
- FAD sponsors internships including the internship that maintains this site.
- FAD sponsors student art exhibits in-school and at other venues.
- FAD provides money for student awards for academic achievement.
- FAD also solicits donations
- For supplies, such as computers, copiers, easels, sewing machines, and photography equipment.
- For financial support of prizes for in-school art contests such as SWAP (School Wide Art Project)
